The New York Yankees have continued their big off season signing free agent and former World Series MVP Cody Bellinger for 5 years 300 million dollars. This  is one of the most expensive contracts ever done in the MLB. 


Bellinger, 25 is one of the MLBs brightest stars winning a World Series before the age of 24 capturing MVP honours. He batted .345 General manager Brian Cashman was very pleased with how both parties came to a deal. “This is a very bright day for baseball in New York. We are confident that adding Cody is only going to give us more depth in a long season and hopefully a long playoff run as well”.


The Yankees also made a big splash in the free agent market signing RHP Trevor Bauer to a 3 year deal worth 154 million dollars. Bauer is coming off a stellar season for the Cincinnati Reds and is said to be one of the best pitchers on the free agent market. “Trevor is also someone that knows how to play in the post-season and can go deep into games. He’s got a great personality and loves to compete. We’re very pleased to have him.” 


The Yankees season is set to start with spring training in Florida in March.
